Power Platform Developer
with a passion for making a difference with a mission centric mindset. This position is ideally suited for a self-motivated, detail-oriented person who is very passionate about being an integral part of a team and making a difference with our premier client.
JOB SUMMARY
The Pentagon Joint Staff, Chief Data Office, enables data driven decision-making in a variety of ways, from providing and leveraging centralized agency analytics capacity to creating tools and platforms that enable self-service across their agencies and staff. This position works across the Joint Staff, utilizing new and existing data stores, to develop mission relevant applications in Microsoft Power Apps and other tools. The Power App developer works as part of a larger team, in an agile environment to iterate tools for military and civilian customers within the Pentagon. The Power App Developer is an energetic professional who doesn't mind wearing multiple hats. Experienced in working with a wide range of tools and applications. This person will work independently with little supervision. Well organized, flexible, and enjoys the challenges of supporting an office of diverse people and backgrounds.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Software tool design, develop, and maintain applications and tools, which may be Microsoft, stand-alone or integrated into platforms like Advana or Palantir.
•Utilize programming in Power Apps, Power BI, SQL, and Python to create robust software solutions.
•Work closely with the Data Engineer to ensure data integrity and with the Power Platform SME for integration into broader systems.
•Maintain detailed documentation of software design, development, and updates.
•Conduct regular data validation and quality checks to ensure the reliability of data feeds.
•Coordinate with the Data Scientist/Software Engineer to understand data requirements and with the Power Platform SME to facilitate application integration.
•Design and build applications within the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
•Ensure seamless integration of Power Platform solutions with applications and tools developed by the Data Scientist/Software Engineer.
•Develop workflows and automation processes to enhance operational efficiency.
•Provide training and support to end-users on Power Platform applications.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
•Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent.
•3-7 years of experience in programming, data management, and application development, preferably within a military or government environment.
•Expertise in Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI
•Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
•High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
•Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
•Ability to work effectively under pressure and within tight deadlines.
•Team player with a collaborative approach to work.

•Strong organizational and planning skills
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology or technology related field
•TS/SCI Clearance
•Experience working in Department of Defense and or Military Services
Flexible work from home options available.
Compensation: $130,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year
