This is an exciting opportunity to help individuals, children, and families in need by providing essential crisis intervention and stabilization services.

Position Overview

As a Spanish-Speaking Community Regional Crisis Response Counselor, you will provide urgent, community-based crisis intervention for individuals experiencing acute psychiatric crises. You will respond directly to clients in the field, offering assessments, counseling, and crisis stabilization to help clients regain stability and avoid hospitalization. This is a mobile role requiring travel within Northern Virginia and includes flexible scheduling with an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 crisis response coverage.

Salary:

  • QMHP: Starting at $73,500
  • Licensed Eligible: Starting at $77,500
  • Fully Licensed: Starting at $81,000
  • Additional annual stipend for Spanish-speaking professionals
Sign-On Bonus: $1,500

Key Responsibilities
  • Crisis Intervention and Stabilization:

    • Provide immediate, mobile crisis intervention and case management services to families and individuals experiencing severe psychiatric crises.
    • Conduct comprehensive assessments, create treatment plans, and deliver intensive counseling to support mental health stabilization and reduce hospitalization risk.
  • Service Coordination and Planning:

    • Lead wraparound team meetings to involve client support networks in setting service goals and identifying additional resources.
    • Develop service plans that clearly define client needs, intervention strategies, and service objectives with input from clients, families, and other providers.
    • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide consistent and coordinated client care.
  • Documentation and Compliance:

    • Maintain thorough, accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and client interactions.
    • Provide both written and verbal documentation as needed, adhering to NCG’s high standards for client care and record-keeping.
  • Teamwork and Flexibility:

    • Participate in scheduled and flexible hours with a weekly on-call rotation to ensure 24-hour coverage for crisis response.
    • Travel throughout Northern Virginia, responding to crisis situations as needed, and support other team members when necessary.
Qualifications
  • Education: Master’s degree in a human services field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of clinical experience with children, adolescents, or adults in mental health settings.
  • Licensure: Must be registered as both a QMHP-C and QMHP-A with the Virginia Department of Health Professions, or be licensed/licensed-eligible.
  • Language: Fluency in Spanish is required.
  • Additional Requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record due to travel requirements.
