Peraton is seeking an experienced
Data Center Engineer
to join our national intelligence program in Northern Virginia that delivers engineering, application development, deployment, operations, upgrades, and sustainment of products and services to achieve our client’s global missions. The candidate must have demonstrated experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) which is the area of concentration for this position. Responsibilities: Design, develop, implement and maintain Data Centers VDI solutions. Design and develop enterprise IT solutions across colocations, data centers, and cloud environments. Evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies into the VDI to enhance server performance. Evaluate VDI user and client needs as well as their experience to determine need for enhancements. Monitor VDI performance and resolve any issues. Monitor tools that provide critical insights into workloads, depletion of resources, and peak loads of servers. Ensure data accessibility and security. Test and troubleshoot hardware and software issues for effective resolution that resolves root causes. Assess network and server architecture for efficiency, improvements, or upgrades. Create and maintain detailed documentation of the data center’s layout, systems, and processes. Travel:
Travel may be required within the National Capital Region (NCR) on an as-needed basis for customer or corporate requirements. **Position is Contingent on Contract Award** Qualifications
Basic Qualifications : Active Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with ability to pass a counter-intelligence scope (CI) Poly clearances. Minimum of 8 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience; High School Diploma and 12 years of relevant experience). Proven work experience designing/ implementing VDI. Familiarity with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions and their integration into enterprise environments. Experience working in cloud environments. Preferred Qualifications: Active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearances. Experience in enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud solutions, and colocation services. Analytical skills for cost-benefit analysis and IT strategy development. ITIL or other applicable professional certifications. Knowledge of tools such as
Microsoft Office Suite ,
Visio ,
and Salesforce
software. Security Clearance: This Position requires an Active TS/SCI and the ability to obtain a CI Poly; US Citizenship is required to hold this clearance. Peraton Overview
