Peraton is seeking an experienced
Software Application Engineer
to join our national intelligence program in Northern Virginia that delivers engineering, application development, deployment, operations, upgrades, and sustainment of products and services to achieve our client’s global missions. The candidate must have demonstrated experience with computer systems and programming to desktop applications; communication skills to work with stakeholders for requirements; attentiveness to detail to ensure all parts work together as intended; and good record-keeping skills. Responsibilities: Design, develop, implement, and maintain software application solutions based on requirements and quality standards. Assess program and client needs for implementation of software solutions. Collaborate with software development teams on software projects. Incorporate client feedback into software product development and maintenance. Monitor software application performance and resolve any issues. Test and troubleshoot software issues with created hardware components for effective resolution that resolves root causes. Create and maintain detailed documentation for the software application usage, data, acquisition, maintenance, test cases, and security protocols, to include diagrams and models. Monitor software performance to ensure continuity of performance after maintenance and testing. Travel:
Travel may be required within the National Capital Region (NCR) on an as-needed basis for customer or corporate requirements. **Position is Contingent on Contract Award** Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: Active Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with the ability to pass a counter-intelligence scope (CI) Poly clearances. Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience; High School Diploma and 12 years of relevant experience). Proven work experience with computer systems and programming to desktop applications. Preferred Qualifications: Active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearances. Hands-on experience with cloud platform technologies, preferably AWS. Familiarity with big data tools such as Elasticsearch, Splunk, NiFi, Kafka, etc. Background in Agile/Scrum methodologies for iterative development. Strong familiarity with NoSQL/SQL databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, etc.). Experience working with REST APIs, including secure transport methodologies. Proficiency with CI/CD tools like GitLab and Jenkins. Expertise in Microservices Architecture, Java, Spring, and Spring Boot. Security Clearance: This Position requires an Active TS/SCI and the ability to obtain a CI Poly; US Citizenship is required to hold this clearance. Peraton Overview
