Position Summary:
The Microsoft Cloud Computing Engineer (Engineer) is responsible for managing a hybrid environment, including both cloud and on-premises infrastructure, with a focus on security, compliance, and endpoint management. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Microsoft technologies, possess excellent troubleshooting skills, and demonstrate a collaborative, problem-solving mindset. The Engineer designs, builds, delivers, and maintains technology solutions that enhance UA Foundation operations. Provides expertise in technology strategy, policies, plans, architecture, deployment, and maintenance of the Foundation's applications, systems, and hardware infrastructure for security and ongoing end-user services.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Hybrid Core Infrastructure Administration Administer and maintain on-premises infrastructure, including Microsoft Server 2019 and newer. Manage and configure Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Domain Controllers, with a focus on hybrid identity solutions. Ensure secure and reliable hybrid integration with Microsoft Entra ID. Support Azure storage, networking, and virtual machines. Oversee the deployment, management, and troubleshooting of printers and other peripherals. Assist with general networking support, including routing, switching, and connectivity troubleshooting across hybrid environments. Optimize cloud resources for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability. Microsoft 365 E5 Security & Compliance
Manage Microsoft Entra roles, conditional access policies, enterprise applications, and device registrations. Implement and maintain Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies and data governance within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. Monitor and secure Exchange Online, including mail filtering, tracing, and handling. Ensure compliance with organizational security policies across all M365 services, including SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive. Endpoint Management
Administer Microsoft Intune for mobile device management, policy configuration, and endpoint security. Deploy and manage Microsoft Autopilot for provisioning and Windows 11 upgrades. Provide MacOS and Apple device support, with a preference for experience with JamfNow or JamfPro. Maintain an up-to-date inventory and ensure compliance for all endpoints. Automation & Workflow Optimization
Create and manage workflows using Microsoft Power Automate to streamline IT and business processes. Develop and document scripts or workflows for repetitive administrative tasks. Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency through automation across infrastructure and user environments. Collaboration Tools & User Support
Provide administration and support for Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive. Support ticketing and user management through Zendesk and other ITSM tools. Deliver training and guidance to users on new systems and tools. Maintain a positive and proactive approach to communication and teamwork. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Proven experience in IT infrastructure and Microsoft 365 administration. Ability to understand and follow all Federal, UA, and PAE policies and procedures. Strong knowledge of security and compliance best practices in hybrid environments. Excellent organization and time management skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills. Ability to be flexible and take initiative when needed. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Positive attitude, collaborative mindset, and ability to work on-site with minimal supervision. Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and create comprehensive technical solutions and documentation. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three (3) years experience. Experience with CrowdStrike, Sophos, and other endpoint protection tools. Familiarity with cloud monitoring tools. Experience in design, development, and implementation of Microsoft Fabric. General knowledge of enterprise print solutions, including Universal Print. Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications such as Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent. Work Environment:
Standard computer workstation with high exposure to a computer screen. May require occasional early morning, late evening, or weekend hours to minimize service disruptions.
