Job Title: Accounting Manager

Location: Dallas, Texas

Organization: Faith-based Non-Profit Agency

Job Purpose: The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization, ensuring the accuracy of financial information and timely completion of financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage all aspects of the general ledger and accounts payable/receivable processes.
2. Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements and reports to the management team.
3. Ensure compliance with all relevant financial policies, procedures, and laws.
4. Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, including analyzing and interpreting financial data.
5. Collaborate with the fundraising and program teams to support their needs and ensure accurate tracking of revenue and expenses.
6. Manage year-end audit process, including preparing necessary financial statements and schedules.
7. Utilize Blackbaud Financial Edge software to manage accounting operations and financial reporting.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and financial management, with experience in a non-profit organization preferred.
3. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and nonprofit accounting.
4. Intermediate MS Excel skills, including proficiency in using formulas and pivot tables.
5. Experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge software is highly desired.
6. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
8. Commitment to the mission and values of the organization.
