LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to join our client in the Kansas City Metro. The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, goods, and services to meet the company's operational needs. This role requires strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
Salary Range: This posting is a representative sample of the types of roles we typically place with our clients. Depending on the specific client, location, and role, the salary range is estimated to be $60,000 to $75,000 and benefits may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan. Our program provides employees the flexibility to choose the type of coverage that meets their individual needs. Available paid leave may include Paid Sick Leave, where required by law; any other paid leave required by Federal, State, or local law; and Holiday pay upon meeting eligibility criteria.
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Source and purchase materials, goods, and services in line with company requirements.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
- Manage supplier relationships and performance to ensure quality and reliability.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse and production teams to ensure timely replenishment.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and trends.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other relevant data.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement activities with business objectives.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or business administration or related field preferred
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of supply chain and procurement best practices.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
