Continuous Improvement Engineer

Viwinco is searching for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive process improvement initiatives across the organization to enhance productivity, efficiency, quality, and safety. This role involves identifying opportunities for improvement, analyzing existing processes, and implementing strategies to optimize workflows and reduce waste. The Continuous Improvement Engineer will collaborate with various departments, including operations, manufacturing, and quality, to ensure the successful execution of improvement projects that support organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support continuous improvement projects using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar tools to identify inefficiencies and implement process enhancements.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Use statistical tools to assess and measure the impact of changes.
- Manage and execute improvement projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and in line with quality standards.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, and quality assurance to implement process improvements.
- Train staff and team members on Lean principles, Six Sigma techniques, and other improvement strategies to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Use root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram) to troubleshoot process issues and develop sustainable solutions.
- Assist in the effective implementation of changes, ensuring proper communication and minimizing resistance from affected teams.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of improvement initiatives.
- Review and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to align with optimized processes and best practices.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
- Proven experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus).
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab, etc.), process mapping, and statistical analysis.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present data and ideas to senior leadership and frontline staff.
- Strong focus on precision and quality in both data analysis and process implementation.
- Willingness to stay up-to-date with new technologies, techniques, and trends in continuous improvement.
