Chief Financial Officer

Pacific NW

Community based Level IV, Critical Access Hospital in a beautiful Coastal setting has started a search for a new Chief Financial Officer. Major responsibilities of the Chief Financial Officer will include developing and maintaining a strategic financial plan and annual operating and capital budgets; financial analysis of new programs, acquisitions, and business development; revenue management; preparation of the financial statements, in accordance with the healthcare industry. Oversight and management of audits of hospital accounts. Key driver in the preparation of contracts and preparation of the annual Medicare and Medicaid cost reports. This position works closely with the Chief Executive Officer and will be a visible hands-on leader.

Stats:

  • Department oversight: Revenue Cycle, Patient Access, Information Technology, Finance, Central Supply Departments
  • FTE’s: 2 Direct reports
  • Facilities: 1 hospital and several outpatient clinics
  • 270 days of cash on hand.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or management, required.
  • Master’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, required
  • Certified Public Accountant, preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience at acute care facilities over several units, required.
  • 10+ years of relevant financial experience in financial reporting, accounting, budgeting, accounts payable, treasury, audit, tax, and payroll, required.
  • Advanced knowledge of provider billing practices and understanding of healthcare reimbursement methodologies and healthcare financial management, required.
  • Experience with Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements, strongly preferred.

Compensation:

$210K-$255K Salary depending on experience, Comprehensive Benefits, Annual bonus, and relocation assistance if needed.
