Job Description
We are seeking skilled Pipe Welders/Fitters to perform pipe welding and fitting on carbon steel and stainless steel. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various welding techniques and have experience reading blueprints.
Responsibilities- Perform pipe welding and fitting on barges.
- Pass a 6g Flux core pipe weld test.
- Pass a 3g T plate test
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Use various welding techniques including flux core, MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
- Handle materials such as stainless steel, carbon steel, and perform metal fabrication.
- Proficiency in flux core, MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Experience with pipe fitting and metal fabrication.
- Knowledge of working with stainless steel and carbon steel.
- This position pays $26 - $30/hour
- $100 per diem for days worked
This position involves working in an outdoor environment which can be very hot. Safety is a priority, and the use of steel-toed ankle-high leather boots, long sleeves, and pants is required. The work is conducted in a smoke-filled environment, so contact lenses are not permitted. Shifts are available from Monday to Friday, with first shift running from 6am to 3:30pm and second shift from 3:15pm to 12:45am.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00
