We have an opening for a Specialist, Recognitions.
The Specialist, Recognitions is responsible for assisting with Paul Hastings' submission and content strategy for the Chambers, Legal 500 and IFLR1000 directories and awards programs generally. They work closely with the Senior Manager, Recognitions, BDEV team members and partners and other attorneys across the firm to help promote the content submission strategy that helps the firm's practices build brand through elevating the individual, practice, and firm rankings and results.
The Specialist, Recognitions is an important member of the firm's Awards & Recognitions team and plays an important role in achieving the broader mission of the firm's Business Development Department.
In this capacity, the Specialist, Recognitions will:
Support the firm's global recognitions content strategy and implementation to contribute to the firm's overall growth strategy;
Participate in high-level content strategy meetings with the Recognitions Senior Manager and other BDEV team members and attorneys across the firm in preparation for directory and award campaigns;
Help cultivate a culture of information sharing working in close collaboration with colleagues across Business Development;
Maintain global recognitions tracker and work with the Senior Manager to evaluate new publications and opportunities, including monitoring new opportunities in the market through competitive intelligence research;
Collaborate with and form relationships with submissions editors and researchers;
Help set best practices for creating submissions-ready descriptions for Business Development colleagues;
Write communications and share with BDEV team members about all directory and award programs, ensuring the teams have all the pertinent information and best practices for each publication, and are given ample time to create compelling submissions;
Draft and review directory submissions and practice and individual award nominations as necessary;
Draft and review content about shortlists and wins for PH.com and Social Media; and
Track and benchmark the firm's recognitions activities against strategic competitors.
Proficiencies:
An in-depth knowledge of the inner workings of Chambers Legal 500 and IFLR1000 and the factors which impact rankings within and across categories;
Experience writing similar award nominations preferred; Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including attention to detail and proofreading;
Good judgement, critical thinking, and creative problem solving;
A high level of customer service orientation;
Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects and deadlines;
Advanced proficiency in English language, punctuation, spelling, grammar and writing skills;
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
Advanced proficiency in internet research and resources (Lexis Nexis, MediaMap);
Advanced proficiency in project management;
Advanced knowledge of the relevant surveys, rankings, directories; and
Fundamental knowledge of legal concepts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (required);
At least 4 years of writing experience (preferred);
At least 4 years of editing experience (preferred); and
At least 3 years of experience with Chambers and/or Legal 500 submissions (preferred).

The salary wage range that we expect to pay for this position is a minimum of $88,000 and a maximum of $112,300 annually. The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.
