The Lead Financial Accountant, working independently with limited supervision, is responsible for conducting and documenting highly complex accounting projects, demonstrating mastery in advanced financial analysis, financial compliance, and business process optimization, playing a pivotal role in decision-making, cost control, and mentorship to foster the overall excellence of the Financial Accounting function. The role excels in cash management, conducting monthly close processes, and conducting sophisticated financial analyses, translating indicators into strategic decisions and optimizing team performance with comprehensive KPI frameworks. The role manages global financial reporting challenges, leads budgeting and forecasting, contributes to cost-saving strategies in cost accounting, and mentors junior staff for overall team development, showcasing a comprehensive and strategic approach within the constraints of financial leadership.

* Assist in the research of accounting treatment of strategic transactions and accounting policies of the company as well as financial reporting and technical research relating to SEC filings.

* Identifies, diagnoses, and recommends solutions to complex problems, coordinates assignments across functional areas, and demonstrates detailed financial accounting mastery, contributing to company goals and decision-making.
* Oversees financial statements, reconciles accounts, and ensures financial data comply with established standards and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), theories, and concepts.
* Develops intricate financial models with advanced complexity, meticulously sustaining them to facilitate robust decision-making processes and comprehensive scenario analysis, thereby providing critical insights for strategic planning and informed organizational choices.
* Analyses cash receipts, examines daily cash disbursements (including checks, direct deposits, and wires), supervises the documentation of precise financial records, and ensures that daily cash flow management aligns with established budgetary constraints.
* Designs and executes a comprehensive framework of key performance indicators (KPIs) to effectively measure, monitor, and optimize team performance aligned with organizational objectives within the Financial Accounting division.
* Leads the monthly closing process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting by overseeing journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses, while also collaborating with cross-functional teams to address any discrepancies or issues that arise.
* Manages complex intricacies associated with adhering to international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and navigating the challenges of currency exchange fluctuations, ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting in a global context.
* Leads budgeting and forecasting processes, analyzes variances between actual results and projections, and provides strategic insights for developing corrective actions to optimize financial performance.
* Reviews cost accounting activities, including analyzing production costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and contributing to cost control strategies.
* Collaborates with senior leadership to develop structured training programs, implementing mentorship initiatives, and assessing ongoing learning needs to further cultivate a dynamic and skilled finance team.

Education:
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or any other related discipline and/or commensurate work experience is required.

Experience:
* 7+ years of relevant experience, preferably in areas such as Financial Accounting, Corporate Finance, Financial Operations or a related field. Industry experience is preferred.

* +2 years of experience in public accounting experience.
