Bankruptcy Paralegal Opportunity in Downtown Pittsburgh
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a dedicated and experienced Bankruptcy Paralegal on behalf of our esteemed law firm client in downtown Pittsburgh. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented legal professional with excellent communication skills, ready to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with attorneys on bankruptcy litigation matters, including preparing Proofs of Claims and objections to bankruptcy plans.
Manage general litigation case tasks such as maintaining the litigation calendar and organizing high volumes of mail and ECF emails.
Handle various bankruptcy tasks for creditors, including reviewing petitions, motions for relief from stay, and objections to plans.
Prepare and e-file pleadings for ongoing bankruptcy cases.
Communicate regularly with external clients, debtors, and the Trusteeu2019s office.
Qualifications:
Recent experience in delinquent local tax, municipal claim collection, or bankruptcy within a busy US law firm.
Paralegal Certificate or Bacheloru2019s degree preferred.
1+ years of experience handling various bankruptcy tasks for creditors, including reviewing bankruptcy petitions, motions for relief from stay, motions to sell real estate, proofs of claim, payment change notices, post-petition fee notices, transfer of claims, objections to plans, dismissal and discharge orders, etc.
Proficiency in state and federal court electronic filing systems, including CE/ECF and PACER.
Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally at all levels, including with external clients, debtors, and/or their representatives, and Trustees.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work both independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong math skills.
Salary Range:
$55,000 - $60,000 DOE
