Job Summary:
The Warehouse Manager will oversee the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of goods. You will manage people, processes, and systems to ensure productivity targets are met and adhere to health and safety regulations. A strong emphasis is placed on leveraging technology to optimize warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and logistics coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management:
  • Supervise daily warehouse activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, and shipping.
  • Ensure the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of warehouse goods.
  • Implement operational policies and procedures.
  • Lead and manage a team of warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
  • Interact with customers via phone, email, WMS and in person.
  • Meet with prospective clients to showcase warehouse, people, systems and service.
  • Provide quotes for short term and long term storage.
  • Deliver proposals and contracts.
  • Negotiate and close new business to build warehouse customer base.
  • Inventory and Technology Management:
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to monitor and manage inventory.
  • Implement and maintain inventory management software and barcode scanning technology.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate with IT for system upgrades and maintenance.
  • Logistics and Distribution:
  • Plan and coordinate logistics for incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Work with suppliers and transport companies to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods.
  • Oversee the preparation of orders and ensure accurate and on-time deliveries.
  • Health and Safety:
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest warehouse technologies and industry trends.
  • Develop and execute strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software.
  • Strong understanding of modern warehouse practices and procedures.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and provide actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Tech-savvy with a keen interest in implementing and utilizing new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ERP/WMS systems.
  • Certification in logistics, supply chain, or inventory management.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $69,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime
  • Weekends as needed

Work Location: In person
