Production Supervisor

Responsibilities:

  1. Coach Safety, Quality and Productivity to ensure objectives are met through following standardized work.
  2. Optimize throughput in accordance with budgets and cost objectives.
  3. Monitor ANDON occurrences and be the first responder as secondary support.
  4. Through Process Confirmation, verify that the line is running safely, smoothly, and producing quality parts.
  5. Support Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) and coach problem resolution to the lowest level.
  6. Communication and Recognition.
  7. Meet First Time Through (FTT), inventory, cost, scrap, supply, and tooling expense targets.
  8. Build Team Leader and Team Member capability.
  9. Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities/tasks.
  10. Basic administration of supervisory responsibilities and documents.

Skills Required:

  1. Ability to work any shift as well as rotating shifts and weekends.
  2. Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  3. Capable of assigning work to unionized hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following processes pertaining to daily work assignments in terms of safety, quality, and throughput.
  4. Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  5. Ability to multi-task.
  6. Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills.
  7. Effective leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills.

Experience Required:

  1. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  2. Microsoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook).
  3. Body shop/stamping/paint/subassembly experience.
  4. Safety and Quality experience.
  5. Knowledge of constraint management principles.
  6. Prior experience managing a unionized workforce.

Education Required:

  1. High School Diploma/GED.
  2. Bachelor's Degree.

Additional Information:

  1. Must be able to work the crew patterns in the plant, which rotate every 3 months, as well as overtime as required.
  2. Crew patterns listed below are core production:
  3. A-Crew: Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm.
  4. B-Crew: Tuesday-Friday 6pm-4:30am.
  5. C-Crew: Friday/Saturday 6am-4:30pm, Sunday/Monday 6pm-4:30am.
  6. Fully Onsite.
