DutiesYou will serve as the Director, Medical Logistics Chief (MEDLOGCHIEF), N42, and is the principal advisor to Chief, BUMED and Navy Medicine activities.You will direct the overall strategic management and serve as the BUMED recognized expert on institutional logistics, materiel management, and supply chain resources for BS0-18.You will perform the full range of supervisory functions for military, civilian, and contract personnel in addition to exercising final authority for the full range of personnel actions and organizational design proposals recommended.You will develop new theories, standards, and strategies that impact and change the logistics management program for Navy Medicine.You will direct the overall strategic management for the procurement of Navy medical equipment, to include Operations and Maintenance, Defense Health Program (O and DM, DHP) and Other Procurements.Requirements Conditions of EmploymentMust be a US Citizen.Must be determined suitable for federal employment.Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience directing an organization in order to provide overall strategic management and serve as a recognized expert on institutional logistics, materiel management, and supply chain resourcesExperience developing new theories, standards, and strategies that impact and change the logistics management program for an organizationExperience coordinating between multiple agencies/customers on all aspects of medical logistics to ensure appropriate and timely medical material and logistics planning is accomplished to fulfill requirements in supporting organizational readinessExperience providing centralized planning and control of all resources necessary to design, procure, store, maintain, and utilize expeditionary medical assets.Experience utilizing life-cycle management through the PPBE cycle and coordinating functions for which other Navy Organizations have the planning, budgeting and executing responsibility.
