Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7am-7pm (hours will vary depending on location)

Based out of Holladay Park location, candidates must be able to float to 2 other locations and the training location, all within 25 miles of each other. A clean driving record is required.
The main function of a phlebotomist is to assist in performing various assigned duties, troubleshooting, training, and making workflow recommendations.
Position Responsibilities:
- Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, and centrifuging specimens.
- Recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
- Collecting and storing specimens according to established procedures.
- Properly explaining the process of venipuncture (blood drawing) and other specimen collection (e.g., urine or fecal) in a clear and courteous manner.
- Demonstrating techniques using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
- Fully understanding all of the physicians' orders.
- Matching laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.
- Labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and freezing specimens as required by test orders.
- Checking all test requisitions or computer labels against scripts to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Packaging specimens for transport and storing specimen samples according to required temperature.
- Placing samples in appropriate collection containers/tubes, accurately labeling, and following necessary protocols for transport to maintain specimen integrity.
- Understanding and complying with OSHA and DEP regulations.
- Attending annual department trainings.
- Answering telephone calls and reading laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed, as required in some states.
- Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
