OVERNIGHT FACILITIES SPECIALIST

Reporting to the Director of Facilities, the Facilities Manager will be responsible for maintaining the building operations, equipment, and public safety for assigned clubs. This position plays a critical role in managing our facilities to provide a safe and enjoyable member experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for repairs and preventive maintenance of fitness equipment, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other equipment defined within each club, including:
  • Plumbing: Repairing plumbing systems (i.e., repairing broken pipes, changing shower heads and handles, repairing toilets/urinals, etc.)
  • Electrical: Performing basic electrical maintenance and repairs (i.e., changing switches, adding dimmers, checking breakers, etc.)
  • Drywall: Repairing drywall, such as patching holes or removing wallpaper.
  • Painting: Applying interior or exterior paint and stain.
  • Equipment: Fixing company fitness equipment.
  • Appliances: Testing and fixing appliances to ensure they work properly.
  • Lighting: Fixing lighting issues (i.e., changing bulbs, ballast, etc.)
  • Maintain accurate records of all work orders using a web-based asset management software “Coast.”
  • Attend weekly meetings/calls with leadership to provide workflow performance via key metrics and project oversights.
  • Continuous communication and support system for gym managers on facilities matters.
  • Assist other facilities personnel as needed.
  • Regularly evaluate the physical condition of facilities to determine necessary repairs.
  • Ensure proper inventory stock of parts and equipment are available in adequate amounts and maintain cleanliness.
  • Work will be scheduled evening/overnight.

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    1. Mechanical, electrical, building service background.
    2. Able to multitask with a sense of urgency and precision.
    3. Good customer service skills and a highly effective communicator.
    4. Utilizes critical thinking to identify alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
    5. Open to feedback and dealing calmly and effectively with high-stress situations.

    Physical Demands:

    1. Bending and kneeling while performing services.
    2. Able to lift over 75 lbs.
    3. Comfortable with working on ladders up to 14’ and scissor lifts up to 25’.
    4. Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
