Duties:
- Provide clear explanations of immigration processes and legal concepts.
- Represent individuals in removal proceedings before Immigration Courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
- Manage a diverse caseload involving detained and non-detained clients.
- Conduct intake and provide legal counsel for individuals in detention centers.
- Prepare and review immigration applications, including family-based petitions and removal defense applications.
- Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations to address immigration law changes.
- Develop legal strategies for court appearances, and prepare clients and witnesses for testimony.
- Draft and submit legal briefs for a variety of immigration-related cases.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in Immigration Law.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with legal teams and other associates.
- Ability to manage a caseload and push cases forward on time.
- Preferred bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
- Active license to practice law.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent legal research and writing abilities.
- Familiarity with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian petitions, EOIR proceedings, and USCIS applications.
- Experience with legal case management software is an advantage.
