Job Title: Entry-Level Immigration Attorney

Job Overview:
An established law firm in Houston, TX is seeking a dedicated and driven Entry-Level Immigration Attorney. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to grow within a supportive legal environment. The position involves managing a diverse caseload, engaging in client consultations, and collaborating with a skilled team of legal professionals to ensure the successful navigation of complex immigration matters.

Duties:

• Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
• Provide strategic guidance and legal representation for non-detained and detained individuals.
• Manage a personal caseload of immigration matters, ensuring all cases progress efficiently.
• Conduct client intake and consult with detained individuals at detention centers.
• Prepare and review immigration applications, including family-based petitions and removal defense cases.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and community-based organizations regarding immigration law updates.
• Develop legal strategies, prepare clients and witnesses for testimony, and deliver legal briefs.
• Offer comprehensive legal analysis to assess case benefits and potential outcomes.
• Conduct strategic immigration consultations with potential clients.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in immigration law.
• Strong ability to collaborate with team members and provide strategic input.
• Record of successfully managing and advancing legal cases.
• Familiarity with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian cases, EOIR processes, and other USCIS applications.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the bar in any U.S. jurisdiction (Texas preferred).

Skills:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficiency in legal research, analysis, and drafting of briefs.
• Experience with case management software is preferred.
