Job Opportunity: Packaged Goods Supply Chain Buyer/Planner

Location: Norwood, NJ

Salary: $50,000 - $65,000

Job Type: Full-time Hybrid

Sole Hire LLC is conducting this search on behalf of our client. Are you an experienced and resourceful supply chain professional eager to make an impact? Join a dynamic team and take charge of purchasing and operations scheduling for packaged goods across various industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review daily Material Requirements Planning (MRP) demand, issue purchase orders, and follow up on deliveries through receipt.
  • Approve vendor invoices, reconcile pricing discrepancies, and conduct margin analysis.
  • Monitor inventory levels using Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP).
  • Suggest stock level changes to ensure customer supply continuity.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with key suppliers, oversee performance metrics, and resolve issues.
  • Coordinate direct supplier-to-customer shipments and complete related documentation.
  • Manage intercompany logistics to ensure seamless product flow.

Work Environment

  • Standard office environment with hybrid options available.

Interview Process

  • Sole Hire will conduct an initial 15 to 30-minute virtual interview.
  • Qualified candidates will be submitted to the client for review.
  • If selected, Sole Hire will coordinate a second virtual interview with the client.
  • A final interview may occur in person or virtually, depending on schedules and location.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or operations roles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams) and experience with MRP or ERP systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate at all levels internally and externally.
  • Analytical mindset with the flexibility to adapt to supply chain variations.
  • Self-starter with resourceful problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Desired but not required: Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Process Improvement.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US. Our client is not sponsoring any visa's at this time.
  • You must live in a commutable distance from Norwood, NJ or Middle River, MD.
  • This is NOT a remote role. Hybrid schedules will be worked out between you and the hiring manager.
