Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Business Analyst for a contract position in San Francisco, CA. The opportunity will be nine months with a strong chance for a long-term extension.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
  • Maximize approval rates by identifying opportunities in authorization and fraud rules.
  • Partner with internal (Corporate Card Product, Incident Team, Enterprise Fraud) and external stakeholders (TSYS, Client).
  • Manage triage of referral/escalation cases and conduct daily research.
  • Keep detailed records of decline rates and false positives, perform trend analysis, and address top decline reasons.
  • Utilize back-end analytics tools and systems for corporate card transaction research.
  • Document event root cause process flows and propose control or process changes.
  • Conduct ad-hoc authorization analysis using authorization and transaction databases.
  • Access TSYS mainframe for vital information to facilitate analysis and recommendations.
  • Assist with maintenance of decline reason matrix and procedures for call center agents.
Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years of deep knowledge of TSYS authorizations: Tandem, Decision Hierarchy, Range Control.
  • 2-3 years of familiarity with TSYS Fraud Prevention tools: ADS I, ADS II, Card Guard.
  • 2-3 years of experience with Tokenization/MDES/Digital wallets.
  • Previous banking/credit card experience.
  • Strong MS Excel skills and some SQL knowledge.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Understanding of commercial banking and card services.
  • Knowledge of back-end systems supporting payment transactions in TSYS environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make swift, sound judgments.
  • Ability to think creatively and recommend feasible solutions.
  • Exceptional documentation and process management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and partnering skills for effective working relationships.
  • Quick learner and adaptable to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong analytical, research, and attention to detail skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks or projects.
  • Self-directed and results-driven with the ability to capture and document business needs.
