Sr. Accounting Specialist Job at Robert Half in Tacoma

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accounting Specialist based in Tacoma, Washington. As a Sr. Accounting Specialist, you will be instrumental in managing our financial modules, tracking financial data through complex spreadsheets, and ensuring the accuracy of our financial statements. You will also take on a significant role in managing our accounts payable and payroll processes.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee the implementation and management of various financial modules, including contract and PO modules
• Develop and maintain intricate Excel spreadsheets to accurately track financial data
• Handle daily accounts payable tasks such as invoice processing, vendor relations, and purchase card management
• Manage utilities and P cards in line with Accounts Payable procedures
• Address everyday payroll items to guarantee accurate and timely payroll processing
• Participate in audits on a time-bound basis, providing necessary financial data and documents, and ensuring compliance with audit requirements
• Understand and articulate the impact of the contract module on the company's financial statements
• Quickly learn and adapt to the company's specific policies and procedures• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential.
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required.
• Familiarity with Ceridian will be considered an asset.
• Proficiency in using Concur is desired.
• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is a plus.
• A strong understanding of general Accounting Functions is required.
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary.
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is mandatory.
• Auditing skills are expected.
• Familiarity with Billing Functions is crucial.
