Position Summary The

Packaging Technician II

plays a key role in producing high-quality beverages. This role operates across all positions on the production line to ensure product quality, reduces downtime through equipment expertise, and serves as the backup for the Line Lead position.

Schedule:

Four 10-hour shifts, 4:00 PM-2:30 AM (4x10s) Monday, Tuesday & Friday, Saturday (off Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday)

Duties and Responsibilities

Safety and Maintenance Adhere to safety policies; report hazards and participate in safety training. Conduct inspections of equipment and work areas. Perform preventative maintenance (PMs), troubleshooting, and minor repairs on the line. Assist with major repairs alongside maintenance staff. Learn machine settings, adjustments, and document changes for efficiency. Production Line Operations

Setup, operate, clean, and breakdown the bottling line. Changeover parts and fine-tune machines during package size adjustments. Ensure product quality: proper caps, fill levels, secure boxes, and legible labels. Manage fill settings for consistent product quality and cycle efficiency. Monitor operations for adherence to specifications. Conduct post-glass break inspections and maintain logs. Sample and test products to detect hazards, defects, or deviations. Participate in deep cleaning and special projects as needed. Step in as Line Lead during absences. Collaboration and Growth

Communicate effectively with Line Leads and Maintenance for smooth operations. Assist with flavor mixing and operational training sessions. Dedicate time to improving skills through repair work and professional training. Maintain a calm, problem-solving demeanor under pressure. Food Safety and Quality

Follow GMP policies in the production facility. Understand and uphold SQF policies, including pest control, allergen management, and sanitation. Report food safety and quality issues to the Quality Assurance Manager for corrective action. Required Skills/Abilities

Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred (training available). Strong attention to detail and safety awareness. Ability to collaborate and adapt to production needs. Flexibility for extended shifts or overtime based on business demands. Basic computer skills (training provided for ERP systems). Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED. 1 year of mechanical or packaging line experience. Physical Requirements

Lift up to 50 lbs regularly and 100 lbs occasionally with assistance. Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, and maneuver heavy parts in noisy, temperature-variable environments. Work in crowded spaces with forklifts and pallet jacks. Our Culture At FedUp Foods, our team thrives on
