Job Title: End User Compute Engineer (Systems Administrator) Location: On-Site – Downtown Houston, TX Company: iSphere Job Type: Contract to hire Position Overview iSphere is searching for an experienced End User Compute Engineer (Systems Administrator) to join our client's team in downtown Houston. This on-site role is ideal for a candidate with at least 5 years of experience who is highly skilled in Azure, Active Directory, Office 365, and endpoint management tools like Intune or SCCM. The primary focus will be on backend technologies supporting end-user computing, providing Level 3 support, and assisting across the organization as needed. Key Responsibilities Azure Administration: Manage and optimize Azure Active Directory (AAD) for identity and access management. Implement and maintain hybrid configurations between on-premises and cloud environments. Active Directory Support: Oversee and manage Active Directory environments, including user accounts, groups, policies, and security configurations. Troubleshoot and resolve complex AD-related issues to ensure smooth operations. Office 365 Administration: Support and maintain the Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access policies. Endpoint Management: Administer Intune or SCCM for endpoint management, application deployment, and compliance. Deploy and manage software packages, patches, and security updates. Level 3 Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution for escalated issues related to backend end-user computing technologies. Collaborate with Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams to resolve complex incidents and ensure seamless end-user experience. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a flexible resource within the IT team, assisting with other areas of the organization when needed. Work closely with IT leadership to implement system enhancements and technology improvements. Documentation & Best Practices: Create and maintain technical documentation for processes, configurations, and troubleshooting. Adhere to and enforce IT best practices, security policies, and compliance standards. Travel Some travel to the East Texas Plant will be required Physical Demands Perform physical tasks, such as running cables and carrying boxes weighing up to 60 lbs. Qualifications Required Skills & Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or End User Compute Engineer. Strong expertise in Azure Active Directory (AAD), on-premises Active Directory, and hybrid environments. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, including administration and troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with Intune or SCCM at an administrative level. Familiarity with managing software deployments, updates, and endpoint compliance. Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Preferred Skills: Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, or equivalent. Good understanding of Powershell
