The Human Resources Support Technician provides administrative support to Department of Human Services /Direct Care and Treatment managers, supervisors and employees. This includes providing support and assistance to staff and customers on personnel issues, general administrative support to HR staff, and scanning/validating of personnel documents into the Electronic Document Management system.
Principal responsibilities/major tasks include:
Effectively assist, inform, advise and consult with employees, supervisors, and/or managers on personnel related policies, procedures and practices as well as collective bargaining agreements and plans Perform administrative duties to maintain efficient operation of the HR unit Function as the Human Resources representative for new employee orientation (NEO), ensuring pre-employment and first day compliance requirements are met and conducting necessary follow-up with supervisors and/or transactions staff . Create, manipulate, and run reports from a variety of software systems and applications as needed or requested Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
1 year of experience performing administrative or clericalduties in a human resourcesetting that demonstrates the following:
Experience working with a Human Resources, benefits, or similar type of transactional processing database. Performing a variety of administrative program support functions that includes application and interpretation of statute, policies and procedures, and/or rules and regulations. Preferred Qualifications
