Job Title: Surgical Tech Job Specialty: OR Tech (Operating Room) Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12H Days 0645-1900, non-consecutive days, with call and holidays in departmental rotation Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required to Submit Certifications: BLS, CST Must-Have: Ortho, Spine, and Robotic Experience Job Description: - Unit consists of 4 operating suites - Handles approximately 300 cases per month - Cases include general OR cases, gynecology, orthopedics, ENT, some sports medicine, and eyes preferred; very little urology, no total joints or neuro - Works with Cerner Surginet EMR - Weekend call requirement: 48-hour call once per month, 8-16 hour call per week, with mandatory Friday call once per month - Call response time is 30 minutes - Required holiday work as needed, generally includes a mandatory 24-hour call - Scrub color is provided - ECG Telemetry: GE - No ventilators - Surgeon on call after hours - 24/7 respiratory therapy available - Pharmacy staffed from 7 AM to midnight, with Omnicell available after hours - Flexible with working various shifts: 5:30 AM-2 PM, 9-5:30 PM, 10:30 AM-6 PM, 11 AM-7 PM - Floating to OB OR for C-sections only - Floor-specific orientation consists of 2-3 shifts on average - Cancellation policy allows up to 3 cancellations per contract by hospital; each can be a full shift or part of a shift, with the possibility of paying full hours for a shift in lieu of cancellation
