Job Details

Our esteemed legal firm is currently on the hunt for a dynamic and seasoned Permanent Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional who has a knack for numbers, a deep understanding of financial regulations, and a strong desire to contribute to the efficiency and financial success of our firm. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for managing our company's accounts payable to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency in our financial operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Managing and overseeing the entire accounts payable process. 2. Coordinating with vendors and responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner. 3. Processing invoices, ensuring that all bills are paid in a timely manner, and maintaining accurate and complete financial records. 4. Performing daily cash management tasks, including tracking expenses, processing payments, and reconciling invoices. 5. Utilizing advanced Excel skills to create financial reports, perform data analysis, and present findings to management. 6. Using Aderant software for managing legal and business matters, financial planning, and time tracking. 7. Participating in financial audits and implementing audit recommendations to improve the company's financial management. 8. Collaborating with other finance team members to improve financial processes and policies. 9. Ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements regarding finance, tax filing and reporting.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. 2. 3+ years of experience in an accounts payable role, preferably within the legal industry. 3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and other advanced functions. 4. Experience with Aderant software or a similar legal management system is a plus. 5. Exceptional numerical proficiency and attention to detail. 6. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. 7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 8. Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting. 9. Understanding of applicable laws and regulations related to accounts payable. 10. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. 11. Professionalism and confidentiality are maintained at all times.
