The Supply Chain Analyst is pivotal in optimizing the supply chain processes, ensuring the efficient movement of materials, and driving cost-saving initiatives while maintaining high levels of service and quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, supply chain management, and manufacturing operations.
Job Description
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Present findings to management with actionable recommendations.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess and obsolescence.
- Demand Planning: Collaborate with sales and production teams to forecast demand and develop strategies to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
- Supplier Performance: Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery timelines, and cost. Work with procurement to address any issues and support vendor negotiations.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in supply chain operations. Propose and implement solutions to enhance performance, reduce costs, and improve lead times.
- Technology Utilization: Leverage ERP and other supply chain management tools to streamline operations and ensure data accuracy. Provide insights into system upgrades or implementations as needed.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and quality assurance teams to align supply chain operations with business goals.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure supply chain activities adhere to regulatory requirements and company policies. Monitor risks and develop contingency plans for potential disruptions.
The Successful Applicant
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA) and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and aptitude for working with large datasets.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
