Overview

Morning Brew is seeking a Recruiter to join our growing People Ops team! We are looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to help our company find and retain excellent employees. You will manage full-cycle recruitment, starting from building the pipeline, sourcing in social channels, increasing outbound motion, and acting as a talent advisor for hiring managers.

The role sits within the People Ops team and reports to the Senior Director, Talent Acquisition.

Morning Brew is based in New York City but this role is remote-friendly for all candidates.

What you’ll do:

- Own full-cycle recruiting including reviewing applicants, sourcing, prescreening, scheduling, interviewing, and trafficking candidates to final selection of candidate to hire

- Partner with hiring managers and key stakeholders to understand and deliver unique talent needs while keeping all parties apprised along the journey

- Stay current on recruiting trends across industries and continually look for ways to refine and improve processes

- Become a deep subject matter expert on Morning Brew and its products

- Participate in interview panels and provide thoughtful feedback to hiring managers

- Utilize the ATS system to review job descriptions and track applicants

- Build a strong pipeline by using a variety of hiring channels

- Source for passive candidates through social networks

- Manage the implementation of company-wide recruiting processes, tools, and strategies; consult on best and next practice recruiting strategy, selection systems, and employment law when needed

- Ensure engagement and hiring of full-time, temporary, and freelance talent is managed in compliance with relevant laws

- Ensure key data on candidates, job details, and assessment and selection activity are documented appropriately in HR systems

- Develop and maintain all recruiting metrics; use as a measurement for team performance, quality of hire, and leverage data and metrics to conduct analysis on talent markets and the effectiveness of different strategies

What makes you qualified:

- Bachelor’s degree

- 5-6 years of full-cycle recruiting experience

- Detail-oriented and process driven

- Experience in sourcing and building pipelines for sales, creative studio, biz opsand other professional services roles within the business media industry

- Knowledge of US labor law and regulations

- Excellent verbal and written communication

- Exceptional full-life-cycle recruiting skills with an emphasis on inclusive strategies that value diversity

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple project priorities in a highly dynamic environment and the ability to work with flexibility, efficiency, and diplomacy both individually and as part of a collaborative team effort.
