The Silver Lake Regional School District and Superintendency Union #31 districts are seeking multiple certified Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) to work in the Extended School Year (ESY) program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group speech/language therapy to students with identified communication disorders in the areas of receptive language, expressive language, pragmatic language, articulation, fluency, voice, and/or medically diagnosed hearing impairment.
  • Assess and maintain data on performance of all students on caseload and differentiate student goals and instruction accordingly.
  • Select appropriate therapy programs and methodologies, plan, and implement therapy that matches students' IEP goals and objectives.
  • Complete data informed summary reports for all students.
  • Consult with parents/guardians, classroom teachers, other therapists, special educators, school nurses, and teaching assistants regarding students' speech/language development and the impact of their speech/language needs on their academic and social performance, as needed.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Coordinate and develop a service schedule with the classroom ESY teachers for students working within the ESY day program.
  • Coordinate and develop a service schedule with parents/guardians for students requiring only drop off services.
Note: Job share opportunities may be available and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

ESY Program Overview
  • June 30, 2025 -July 31, 2025, Monday - Thursday
  • ESY programs serve students aged 3-22
  • Days & times of services:
    • Grades K-12+: Monday - Thursday, 8:30 am - 12:00 pm
    • PreK: Students will have a two-day schedule of either Monday/Tuesday or Wednesday/Thursday from 8:30 - 12:00 p.m.
  • In addition to times outlined above, educators will be paid for an additional 90 minutes of planning time each day, which may occur on-site or off-site
  • Data collection / progress monitoring collected weekly in regards to individualized education plans (IEPs)
