Assistant Farm Operations Manager

EMPLOYER:United Ag, LLC JOB TITLE:Assistant Farm Operations Manager JOB LOCATION:677 CR 20, Plainview, TX 79072 (Hale County) JOB DUTIES:Responsible for assisting in directing and overseeing the daily activities for commercial dairy operation. Specific duties include: (1) Reporting to the Dairy Operations Manager and assisting in directing and overseeing daily operations activities, including feed management, silage management and harvest, animal health, animal reproduction, and the maternity and youngstock departments; (2) Establishing and implementing farm protocols; (3) Creating employee schedules; (4) Hiring, training, motivating, and disciplining staff; (5) Collecting and analyzing daily and monthly data to evaluate day-to-day operations. REQUIREMENTS: Two years of livestock farm management experience, including specific experience with herd health and herd management, operating and repairing agricultural equipment, and managing farm workers.
