Industrial Engineer

will be responsible for evaluating and improving manufacturing processes, systems, and workflows. This role will require a deep understanding of industrial engineering principles, data analysis, and continuous improvement techniques. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies, implement process improvements, and ensure that production goals are met efficiently and safely. This is a full-time onsite position in Vacaville, CA. Main Responsibilities Analyze and design efficient production workflows. Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to reduce waste, increase productivity, and optimize resource utilization. Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to production processes, quality control, and operations. Provide detailed reports to management on performance, trends, and areas for improvement. Evaluate current production capacity and forecast future needs. Recommend adjustments to production schedules, staffing levels, and equipment to meet demand. Work on cost reduction initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline processes, reduce material waste, improve labor utilization, and enhance overall productivity. Develop and implement methods to ensure products meet quality standards. Work with quality control teams to identify areas for improvement and monitor compliance with industry standards. Research, recommend, and help implement new technologies or equipment that improve production efficiency. Work with the engineering team to ensure smooth integration into existing systems. Apply lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase operational efficiency. Lead or assist in process improvement projects. Ensure compliance with safety standards, workplace regulations, and industry guidelines. Identify potential hazards and work with the safety team to implement corrective measures. Work closely with production, operations, and other departments to ensure that process improvements align with organizational goals. Provide support in troubleshooting production issues and implementing solutions. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean) is a plus. 5+ years of experience in an industrial engineering role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment. Experience with process optimization, lean manufacturing, and cost-reduction strategies. Proficiency in engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, simulation software, ERP systems). Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
