Job Title: Project Manager (Development)

Location: St Louis, MO (On-site)


Our client is a leading Independent Power Producer (IPP) specializing in the development, financing, construction, and operation of utility-scale renewable energy projects across the United States. With multiple GWs in operation and a strong pipeline of solar, wind, and energy storage assets, the company is committed to driving the energy transition by delivering sustainable and cost-effective power solutions.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage the development lifecycle for utility-scale solar, wind, and energy storage projects, ensuring successful advancement to NTP.
  • Coordinate land acquisition efforts, including lease and purchase negotiations with landowners.
  • Support interconnection activities, working with utilities and ISOs/RTOs to advance grid connection approvals.
  • Lead permitting and regulatory compliance efforts, securing local, state, and federal approvals.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including landowners, community members, policymakers, and regulatory agencies, to build project support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, legal, and construction, to optimize project feasibility and economics.
  • Monitor project budgets and timelines, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Stay informed on market trends, policy changes, and industry developments that may impact project success.


Qualifications & Experience:


  • 3 + of experience in utility-scale renewable energy project development.
  • Strong understanding of land acquisition, interconnection, permitting, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience working with ISO/RTO processes and utility interconnection procedures.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy policies, regulatory frameworks, and market dynamics.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
