About the Role: This role will be responsible for managing tax compliance, reporting, and strategic planning for investment funds and related entities. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a deep understanding of partnership tax, fund structures, and financial services taxation. Key Responsibilities: Oversee tax compliance and reporting for
private equity/private debt funds , including partnerships, SPVs, and other investment structures. Manage the preparation and review of federal, state, and international tax filings, including K-1s, 1065s, and related schedules. Ensure compliance with
partnership tax regulations
and evolving tax laws affecting investment funds. Provide strategic tax planning and structuring advice to optimize fund performance and investor returns. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including
finance, legal, and external tax advisors , to address complex tax matters. Analyze
carried interest, waterfall allocations, and management fee structures
to ensure accurate tax treatment. Lead tax due diligence for fund formations, acquisitions, and other investment transactions. Identify and implement process improvements for tax compliance and reporting efficiency. Manage tax audits and liaise with regulatory agencies as needed. Mentor and develop junior tax professionals within the team. Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
(Master’s in Taxation preferred). CPA required ; additional tax certifications (e.g., MST) are a plus. 5+ years of tax experience , with a combination of
public accounting (Big 4 or top-tier CPA firm)
and
private equity/private debt industry exposure . Strong technical knowledge of
partnership taxation, Subchapter K, carried interest, and fund structures . Experience with
fund tax compliance, investor reporting, and tax planning strategies . Familiarity with tax technology and software (e.g., GoSystem, OneSource, Alteryx) is a plus. Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Why Join Us?
