POSITION DETAILS

Position Summary

The Senior Sales and Contract Administrator will manage and oversee the sales lifecycle(customer inquiry, quoting, order acknowledgment, delivery status, etc.), ensure compliance, and support sales operations. This role involves coordinating sales activities, managing customer accounts/sales records, supporting business development, program management, and other stakeholders to streamline customer processes, and providing exceptional customer support throughout the sales cycle.


The ideal candidate will lead and manage specific accounts, build/maintain strong customer relationships, negotiate pricing, and ensure the effective execution of booking targets. The Sr Sales Admin will also be a key contributor in monthly SIOP (Sales, Inventory, Operations & Planning) forecasting to achieve targeted financial goals, oversee the customer sales process, and collaborate closely with engineering, product/program management, operations, and other internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met (Voice of Customer).

The role requires a blend of sales knowledge, excellent interpersonal skills, and expertise in managing customers specific to the aerospace and defense industry.

Duties include forecasting, annual budget review, customer pricing strategy, closing orders, proposal and pricing negotiation, and overall ownership of the booking forecast for the specified customer accounts.


Principal Activities


  • Responsible for managing customer interactions, processing sales orders, maintaining accurate customer data within the CRM system, and providing administrative support to multiple functions.
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding sales-related inquiries.
  • Provide ongoing customer support, ensuring product satisfaction and resolving any post-sale issues as necessary.
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of customer programs, requirements, and forecasts.
  • Work with the Business Development Sales Team on new business opportunities, following up and responding to inquiries and quotations/proposals.
  • Represents the customers in meetings (Voice of the customer) with other functional areas and is responsible for customer satisfaction, maintaining communication, and managing the customer relationship.
  • Ensure POs/contracts comply with industry regulations and company policies (e.g., ITAR, export controls, aerospace standards).
  • Identify potential risks in contracts / T’s C’s and collaborate with legal teams and other stakeholders to mitigate risks before finalization.
  • Regularly communicate with the leadership team and other departments to align on company objectives, sales strategies, and contract fulfillment.
  • Ensure that contract milestones, deliverables, and payment schedules are negotiated and met.


Requirements

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:


  • Proven track record of success in sales working with OEM customers within the aerospace & defense markets.
  • Strong interpersonal/customer service/sales skills, including prioritizing, balancing, and managing multiple sales opportunities.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in managing customers, quotations, and customer requirements.
  • Must have strong writing, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both customers and internal stakeholders
  • Time Management: Capable of managing deadlines, handling multiple contracts, and meeting booking targets.
  • Team Collaboration: Strong ability to work cross-functionally and in a team environment. Well-developed interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Problem-solving: Able to resolve issues creatively and maintain a positive customer relationships mindset focusing on process improvement.
  • Ability to assess customer needs and market trends.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of CRM tools and all Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, and TEAMS
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills


Education & Experience

  • A degree in business or finance is preferred, and/or 5 – 10 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, contracts, or related fields within the aerospace industry.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance in the aerospace industry (e.g., FAR, DFARS, ITAR, CUI) a plus.

PAY RANGE: $75,000-$85,000
