Main Tasks & Requirements

Hexagon's Manufacturing Intelligence division is seeking a Junior Application Engineer - MX Database Intern for our Novi, MI location.

Description:

The Junior Application Engineer - MX Database Intern will learn how to create digital twins of materials, review and update material models, and gather data to be used in our databases.

Responsibilities: Learn about how to create digital twins of materials with Hexagon's Digimat software through training classes and self-guided material.

Review and update the material models already available within the software's material database.

Research and additional grades that could be beneficial to add to the material database.

Gather data for said grades and create digital twins that will then be included in the database and used by customers.

Qualifications: Must be enrolled in an Engineering, Material Science or other technical degree program and in good academic standing

Self-starting/Enthusiastic to learn

Interest in composites work and experience

Interest in hands on software usage and material calibration work

Experience with structural FEA a plus

Experience with testing or manufacturing of composites a plus

Ability to work Monday- Friday, 40 hours per week during the summer break
