A professional services firm on Long Island is currently seeking an experienced Tax professional to join their staff in Suffolk County in a Tax Supervisor / Manager role.
Responsibilities:The Tax Supervisor / Manager will be responsible for:Preparation and review of individual, corporate, partnership, trust and estate returns and projections for accuracyProviding insight to tax saving measuresPerforming Federal and State tax researchPreparing financials (SSARS 21, compilations, reviews)Full charge coordination and completion of client engagementsConsultation with clients on various business matters including controller supportResponding to client inquiries, including IRS and State and Local tax noticesMentoring staff, as neededPerforming other duties, as neededQualifications:
4+ years public tax experience with HNW individuals and mid-sized businessesBachelor's degree in AccountingCurrent knowledge of GAAPWorking knowledge of Accounting softwareMicrosoft Excel proficientSolid analytical, mathematical, and research skillsGreat interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Strong attention to detailHighly organizedDesired Skills:
CPA or parts passedBackground in AuditingWorking knowledge of CCH Axcess and Engagement
