Description
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance and Administration, the Business Systems Administrator supports all aspects of the administrative enterprise resource planning system (Ellucian Colleague) and its interfaces to third-party applications. Responsibilities include user administration, software upgrades, general maintenance, backups, troubleshooting, configuration, employee training, documentation, security, and overall support. This position helps manage multiple University initiatives ensuring effective use of delivered functionality, and developing custom features, as needed. This position is also responsible for data analysis, collaborating with campus constituents, and providing solutions to resolve problems and enhance processes. Must possess the ability to evaluate existing practices and implement new practices where needed. This position will be the expert institutional resource for business system related policies and procedures and will implement processes and procedures that increase service to University operations.
Qualifications
Required Education and/or Experience:At least three (3) years of progressively responsible work experience in information technology, particularly application support, database management, or ERP system administration.Experience with Ellucian Colleague system administration.Experience with Unidata or Unibasic query language and/or SQL.Ability to handle multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines with successful outcomes.Preferred Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field preferred.Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsExperience with Entrinsik Informer implementationExperience with API's and Azure ADExperience in an educational or a non-profit environment
