Logistics Operator.

The Logistics Operator is involved with the successful daily operation of the AAK Port Newark, NJ facility on a 5-day a week, day-shift basis. Some daily and weekend overtime is necessary. The position requires attention to detail, good record keeping, and the safe and efficient operation of equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Accountable for:

Maintaining sanitation standards for assigned areas.Loading vegetable oil in railcars/tank wagons and accurately completing documentation.Following procedures to safely off-load rail cars/tank wagons/CBEs/totes/drums.Zero lost time injuries while performing job.Responsible for:

Assisting refinery operators in tasks requiring additional manpower.Using the forklift and other company tools and equipment in proper and safe method.Assisting with packaging, shipping, and maintaining warehouse organization.Assisting maintenance employees with their tasks as able and as requested.Communicating effectively with the day supervisor on issues and problems that may occur.Report all incidents to Supervisor/Manager.Participating in company activities such as; Safety Committee, Audit committees, employee task force, Kaizen Teams etc. Contribute to the effort in controlling costs and minimizing waste.Following company PPE policy and ensuring it is administered on-site.Proper documentation and data entry.Understanding and following environmental protection policies set forth by company.Qualifications:

2-3 years in related field or related experience in manufacturing facility (preferred)8 hour OSHA on site safety trainingHigh School Diploma or GED EquivalentForklift certification. (preferred)Able to operate manual or electrical pallet jacks.Computer literate.Strong problem solving and math skillsStrong equipment troubleshooting skillsExcellent communication (verbal and written), time management and organizational skillsCandidates must be authorized to work in the US, now and in the future, without sponsorship.Your rewarding career and benefits include:
