Due to growth in the area and an increasing demand for services, we are seeking an enthusiastic veterinarian to join Animal Hospital of Linden's highly trained team. About the Hospital
We are committed to practicing high quality, progressive, individualized medical care for our patients. We provide you with the tools to help your patients through industry-leading medical and diagnostic capabilities. Our recently renovated, state of the art facility provides modern care built on family values to our clients and patients. Our hospital is equipped with ultrasound, comprehensive diagnostic in-house laboratory equipment, cold laser therapy, dedicated surgical suite, electrocautery unit, and dental station. Our caseload includes small animal preventative medicine, internal medicine, dentistry, and general surgery. Located in southeastern Union County, Linden is part of the New York Metropolitan Area, located about 13 miles southwest of Manhattan and bordering Staten Island. Originally formed as a township in 1861, Linden has grown to combine the best aspects of both big city and suburban living. Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problemsTreat and dress woundsPerform surgery on animalsTest for and vaccinate against diseasesOperate medical equipment, such as x-ray machinesAdvise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatmentsPrescribe medicationWork closely in collaboration with team members to provide high quality careQualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree requiredLicensure in the state/s candidate will be workingAbility to show compassion to both pets and their ownersOutstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasksAbility to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animalStrong fondness and understanding of animalsGood communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of animal behaviorAbility to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals
