Job Summary
Under general supervision, but in line with established policies and procedures, responsible for assisting in establishing and maintaining a compliance program and compliance training program for directors, officers and employees; and performing various compliance administrative duties.
Essential Job FunctionsAssist Compliance Manager in day-to-day compliance support for branches and to maintain current with bank compliance requirements.Support branches and departments in related compliance requirements and procedures.Assist with creating a compliance program and continually maintain it.Keep management and other bank personnel informed of the implementation of new regulations or changes to existing regulations.Assist with the formulating and updating bank policies and procedures to maintain bank compliance with applicable compliance statutes, regulations, and interpretations.Establish and maintain an ongoing program for training personnel. Update internal compliance training programs as needed.Perform compliance and procedural training to bank personnel as necessary.Assist with the monitoring resolution of consumer complaints.Assist with the developing and maintaining current compliance internal control review programs, updating existing audit programs as regulatory changes or requirements occur. Review and maintain internal control review work papers and reports.Review of follow-up items addressed in previous internal audits and examinations to ensure an adequate corrective action process.Assist Compliance Manger with documentation gathering and preparation for department internal audits and regulatory examinations audits and examinations.Ensure compliance with BSA and other compliance requirements, as applicable to job function.Other duties as assigned by the bankSecondary Job Functions
The Compliance Assistant shall assist with the establishment and maintaining the bank's compliance program, keep informed of all regulatory changes and requirements, perform compliance audits, assist in formulating and updating bank policies and procedures, monitor resolution of consumer complaints, update and implement the bank's internal compliance training program, prepare for and act as secondary point person in regulatory compliance examinationsThe Compliance Assistant shall assist with performing regular internal reviews of all appropriate areas of the bank to determine the degree of compliance with various consumer laws. Actual or possible violations and any needed corrective action should be reported to the department managers of the area under review, Compliance Officer, and Audit/Compliance Committee.Knowledge
