Duties :Physical therapy evaluations for all students referred for evaluationProvide diagnostic services and reports for students that are identified with a disability and are in need of physical therapy servicesProvide consultation to school staff regarding accommodations and modifications needed for students eligible for physical therapy servicesAssist the school in consulting with or obtaining services from medical providersParticipate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) and in multidisciplinary meetings to review evaluation results, integrate findings with other disciplines, offer recommendations and develop individual education plans and intervention plans to achieve IEP goals.Participate in multidisciplinary meetings as requiredProvide training to school personnel as requestedResponsible for the maintenance of equipment such as wheel chairs, crutches and adaptive equipment.Provide training for parents as requiredConsults with other service providers to develop cohesive service plan; may provide cotreatmentMeet with the parents of students and/or guardian of students placed for therapy purposes.Qualifications :
The applicant must possess a physical therapist American License.Education/ Experience:
The applicant must possess a Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree.The applicant must possess an American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties certification.The applicant must possess five years of experience in a direct related field.
