The Human Resources Generalist (HRG) is responsible for helping new employees adapt to LLCA culture. The HRG oversees full-cycle of recruitment efforts, new hire orientation and employee onboarding and offboarding. This role also includes assisting with payroll and benefits administration, as well as ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures and DCFS requirements. The HRG directly supports Directors, the Regional Director, and the owners.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Personnel Management

Regularly monitors hiring needs for each center location and HQ/Training Center in cooperation with Director, Regional Director, and Owners.Assists tracking and overseeing staff retention, and turn over tracking - reporting to Regional Director and Owners.Assists and accepts responsibility in other daily center duties that might be temporary in the event other personnel are not available.Direct HR general questions from LLCA employees.Coordinates with Broker, BCBS, AFLAC and appropriate agencies for Open Enrollment.Reports termination charges to Business Manager.Onboards all new hired staff during 90-day process with paperwork, required uniform, and trainings.Birthday and Anniversary celebrations acknowledgement for HQ/Training Center Staff.Professionalism / Public Relations

Treats fellow staff members, parents, children and visitors with courtesy and respect; maintains a professional demeanor.Maintains confidentiality of all oral, written, and observed information, including information related to the program, staff, children, and parents. Sharing of any information is on a "need to know" basis.Maintains close communication with all directors to ensure that they are kept abreast of policy changes.Addresses any director concerns in a timely manner and refers unresolved concerns to Little Learner Children's Academy, LLC owners immediately.Successfully completes all required on-going training according to established guidelines.Consistently demonstrates a personal commitment to professional and personal growth, maintaining an evident interest in the job; actively participates in management meetings, trainings, and workshops.Periodically reviews Little Learner Children's Academy, LLC policies and procedures and supports them at all times; cooperates with Little Learner Children's Academy, LLC initiatives in a positive manner; is dependable and punctual; arrives at assigned area on time as scheduled; breaks and lunches at times specified by work schedule and Headquarter needs; returns to work promptly.Resource Management

Identifies requirements and resources necessary to support recruiting events.With input from center Directors and owner, orders or shops for all materials and supplies necessary for on- and off-site recruiting events and job fairs.Ensures that all property and supplies are properly issued, accounted for, and inventoried as required.Tracking career events, summary of events, and calendar events.Internal Controls

Takes immediate corrective action to resolve any suspected problems.Creates company letters to staff and candidates as directed by owners.Creates and revises company forms and documents as directed by owners.Completes audits on Center Management System and HR Software.Onboards employees and ensures all paperwork is in compliance with DCFS and LLCA policy.Offboards employees and deactivates appropriate benefits.Notifies payroll of any balances or charges during offboarding.Conducts Exit interviews with all staff no longer active.Add PTO to Center Management Program.DQ Coaching at the monthly.Ideally, you have the following qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Human Resources, or related area3+ years' of experience working in Human ResourcesPrior experience in licensed childcare or a similar industryPHR, SHRM-CP, or other relevant certificationAnd you must possess the following skills:

Knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance and best practices.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Problem-solving abilities.Ethical behavior and adherence to the code of conduct.Continuing education in the field of Human Resources.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsTechnically proficient with MS Office (including Excel), Center Management Program, HR software, Indeed, Glassdoor, LinkedIn, and Facebook.The benefits you'll enjoy in this role include:
