Job SummaryThe candidate will be supporting The Ohio Department of Transportation's Division of Planning, Office of Data Governance, providing technical support for the development, maintenance, and daily operations of several transportation asset management solutions.RoleThe portfolio of solutions includes ODOT's: Collector Program Applications (ESRI Field Maps App, ESRI Operations Dashboard, Power BI, Custom ESRI Geoprocessing Tools/ Python Scripts, automated workflows utilizing FME) Transportation Information Mapping System (TIMS) (Custom Web Mapping Data Portal, ESRI ArcGIS Server, ETL Tools including FME, Python, and ESRI Model Builder), Transportation Analytics, Traffic Management Monitoring System (TMMS)
Duties for this position include:• Serves as a technical SME in the planning, organization and management of day to day operations and the development of enterprise systems.• Supports the planning and execution of project management activities of enterprise systems.• Leads the planning and implementation of process improvements specific to enterprise wide systems.• Leads solution development testing, leveraging a combination of manual or automated testing mechanisms across the technology portfolio• Ensures consistent user acceptance testing (UAT) methodologies• Identifies, documents and communicates solution improvement opportunities with the development team• Identifies and tracks issues, bugs, maintenance items and risks associated with the ongoing maintenance of enterprise systems.• Works with customers / data business owners / subject matter experts during solution testing, development, and implementation to ensure solution achieves business requirements• Provides assistance supporting the team's FME workflows / FME environment• Ability to provide system(s) subject matter expertise (SME) across the portfolio to identify cross-solution impacts and dependencies in order to mitigate issues caused by system enhancements, bug fixes or other changes due to these integrations at the data or system level
1. Strong communication skills.2. Have excellent oral and written skills/possess strong meeting and work session skills.3. Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, the ability to manage time and resources to meet assigned deadlines.4. Have excellent organizational skills, proven analytical, planning, problem solving, and decision-making skills.5. Demonstrate proven experience in troubleshooting with little supervision.6. Must be knowledgeable in the English language/speak clearly and understandably use the English language.
