The Lean Specialist will bolster the passion and purpose of the Walbridge Innovation & Improvement Leadership (WIIL) department by assisting with innovating and improving all areas of the Walbridge Enterprise to better serve our customers and enrich the employee work experience. Assist the Corporate Quality Lean & Innovation Director in maintaining Walbridges Lean Operating SystemParticipate in validating various operational Lean practices and toolsAssist with Lean AuditsA3 Thinking for new lean ideas and toolsSupport corporate quality lean & innovation initiatives and process improvement/design effortsFoster a collaborative environment where field experience bridges the gap between planning and executionFacilitate various problem-solving methods to find practical solutionsTranslate field experience into practical Lean implementation strategiesIdentify and eliminate waste from construction processesTrain and coach field teams on applying Lean tools and methodologies, leveraging field experience to quickly gain buy inAssist with evaluating and implementing construction technologyAttend various Lean Construction organization events (LCI, CURT)Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferredMinimum of 3 years of related experience including construction experience such as Project Engineer or Superintendent demonstrating successful project deliveryProven understanding and application of Lean principles and practices in constructionExpertise in Lean planning tools and methodologies (e.g., LPS, Target Value Delivery)Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skillsStrong analytical and data management skills, with a focus on field-derived metricsAbility to work independently and collaboratively across all project levels
