Job Summary:
We are seeking an Endocrinology trained physician to join our multispecialty group in pursuit of high-quality patient care to provide full scope Endocrinology services.
The Ideal Candidate:
• One to three years of endocrinology clinical experience in an outpatient setting. • Ability to diagnose and treat a wide variety of endocrinology conditions with a focus on improving patient outcomes. • Demonstrate competency in diagnosis and treatment to assure high standards of patient care and safety are maintained. • Patient-centered approach toward a positive patient experience. • Excellent communication skills. • Interest in Population Health Management.
Responsibilities:
• Review patient's history and perform physical examination. Maintain complete and accurate medical records. • Conduct physical evaluation and diagnostic tests to determine diagnosis and provide appropriate treatment and patient care plan. • Diagnose and treat patients with a variety of hormonal diseases and conditions related to the endocrine systems. • Provide comprehensive cost-effective diabetes care with available support of CDE/RD services. • Recommend suitable management for the patient, including but not limited to, preventive health recommendations and habits. • Prescribe medications and formulate ongoing treatment and disease management plans. • Provide relationship-centered care, taking into account the patient's psychosocial and physical needs. • Communicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure total delivery of quality care. • Share on-call phone answering responsibilities with other Endocrinologists, at present on or about every six weeks rotation basis. • Participate in medical staff educational programs and meetings.
Qualifications:
• Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or foreign equivalent. • Completion of three year post graduate medical training from a U.S. accredited residency program in Internal Medicine. • Completion of two year post graduate medical training from an accredited fellowship program in area of practice (e.g., (Endocrine, Diabetes, and Metabolism Medicine). • Seeking both experienced and newly trained providers • Board Eligible/Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Endocrinology • Must possess current, unrestricted New York State license. • Must possess Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or be eligible for registration • Must possess Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or be eligible to enroll • BLS or ACLS certification required • Must possess strong communication skills both oral and written. • Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and Microsoft Office.
