Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the STRL Mission Support direct hire authority. Responsibilities You will identify fleet and test and evaluation high fidelity simulation and network needs, create program proposals, and successfully acquire users for the RDTE computing network. You will serve as the technical expert in the field of network architectures to support real-time simulation. You will conduct operational analysis and formulate system concept architectural designs, functional specifications, system integration, and documentation aspects. You will research and test new computing architecture's to evaluate their suitability for future upgrades. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or DS-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Ensuring effective and efficient maintenance and operations workflow and practices to help improve availability and performance of systems and dependent environments,2) Monitoring all systems/networks and assists to resolve complex issues in system/network software and hardware;3) Researching and making recommendations in all areas of Information Technology acquisition investments;4) Working with Systems/Network Administrators to maintain and support the networks, storage devices, physical and virtual environment; and 5) Utilizing VMWare software for a variety of virtualization tasks and responsibilities for an organization.
