We are currently seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to manage patients in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. We support a balanced work life with job fulfillment for all our employees. The incoming provider will commit to the highest quality of care using an organized, multidisciplinary team approach to provide continuity of care throughout the post-acute continuum. Our patient population served includes adults and geriatrics.
Responsibilities
Psych Inpatient care- rounding and new patient admissionsCoordination of care with attendings, consults, referral sources, and hospital staffAssess and manage inpatient censusPerform physical exams, obtain complete medical history, and record findingsOrder appropriate laboratory and diagnostic proceduresInterpret and integrate data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic planOrder/administer medication and injections as deemed medically necessaryInstruct patient/family regarding medications, post admission care and treatmentsEducate patients regarding health and illness preventionCollaborate with physicians in managing acute needs of patientsRequirements
Valid South Carolina Nurse Practitioner LicenseANCC Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)DEA LicenseGraduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner programBLS and ACLS CertifiedExcellent written and oral communication skillsPossess traits of punctuality, organizational skills, and ability to function within a team.
