We are currently seeking a
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
to manage patients in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. We support a balanced work life with job fulfillment for all our employees.
The incoming provider will commit to the highest quality of care using an organized, multidisciplinary team approach to provide continuity of care throughout the post-acute continuum. Our patient population served includes adults and geriatrics.
Duties:Psych Inpatient care- rounding and new patient admissionsCoordination of care with attendings, consults, referral sources, and hospital staffAssessing and managing inpatient censusPerform physical exams, obtain complete medical history, and record findingsOrder appropriate laboratory and diagnostic proceduresInterprets and integrates data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic planOrder/administer medication and injections as deemed medically necessaryInstructs patient/family regarding medications, post admission care and treatmentsEducates patients regarding health and illness preventionCollaborates with physicians in managing acute needs of patientsQualifications:
Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner programANCC certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse PractitionerDEA licenseBLS & ACLS certifiedCurrent State license
